| Meditation is a Journey, not a destination. Where & when you meditate is up to you.
It is not an escape from problems.
Learn to break out of stereotyped thought.
Remember that there is no right or wrong way to meditate.
Perceive every moment of everyday reality as if it were a new event.
Be comfortable with the method you choose.
Turn your consciousness & everyday thought processes towards a balance of the physical, spiritual, emotional & mental.
Try not to expect too much too quickly. Never think that just because “NOTHING” is happening, that meditation is not working for you. It takes TIME.
Work with your ego. Accept that you can be ignorant, intolerant, stubborn, prone to habits & non-change, etc but that YOU CAN CHANGE!!!
Do not expect to achieve mastery immediately. It takes patience & persistence to develop the power of concentration.
Meditation is a holistic discipline. It creates changes in our spiritual, physical, emotional & mental awareness, enables us to discover whom we really are & what we may want to achieve.
Meditation creates space in our mind, brings conscious pauses between thoughts & gives us control over instinctive responses, habitual or routine actions & automatic verbal responses.
A busy mind has no space for creativity, insight, order or most of all, in not allowing spirit guides to communicate with you.
Meditation releases the individual from shackles & limitations & conceptions.
Body awareness will develop as we create a more conscious relationship with ourselves. We are only aware of the body when we are not well. Use meditation to affirm well-being.
Meditation brings a sense of reality & proportion into life, our best defence against the values of society which stresses competition, acquisition & materialism.
Meditation can be achieved through inner discipline which involves combats negative states of mind such as anger, greed & hatred & cultivating positive states such as kindness, tolerance & compassion.
Negative states of mind have the effect of closing up the channels of the body so that qi flows in a slow sluggish manner, giving rise to disease, whereas positive states open the channels of the body to allow qi to flow freely & in such a way that disease can rarely get a foot hold.
You align with your true self, becoming the person you want to be.
