7 Steps to Reclaiming your Personal Power
Self-Empowerment
Article by Nancy Wylde
Self-empowerment is not about manipulating, controlling or dominating the lives of those around you. It is about how to direct and master your own life. This power already lies deep within you. Changing from within is your first step.
- Thought Energy: What are you thinking? What are your thoughts like? What you think about, you bring about. Begin by changing your mindset and attitude.
- Affirmations: a positive self talk statement. Changing your Self-Talk. Repeated thoughts become beliefs, which in turn become our reality.
- Visualisation: See yourself in pictures – every thought contains a picture. When we hold a clear vivid picture in our mind of our goal or desire, we set into motion forces that bring this into reality.
- Meditation: Quieting the Mind – a key tool in developing personal growth.
- Having a Plan: Goal Setting, what you want to achieve.
- Being Thankful: Gratitude, being in a state of appreciation.
- Being in a state of Joy: Happiness Therapy.
A key principle that is essential to grasp is that “thoughts have a frequency’ and what you think about, you bring about.
